Socialise. Learn. Play.
Looking for something different to do with your Thursday night? Casa's Kink Collective could be exactly what you're looking for.
You might reasonably be wondering:
What the hell is a Kink Collective? Is it a workshop? A munch? A play party? Some sort of kinky book club?
Well... sort of. But not really. A Kink Collective is our Thursday night gathering where we bring people together to socialise, learn something interesting and, if the mood takes you, play.
It's one of our favourite nights of the week.
So what happens on a Thursday?
The basic idea is pretty simple. Socialise. Learn. Play. That's it. No complicated formula. No expectation that you have to arrive knowing what you're doing. No requirement to have a partner waiting for you at the door.
Socialise
First and foremost, it's a chance to hang out with other kinky people. You can come with friends. You can come with a partner. Or you can walk through the door completely on your own and see what happens. We know that walking into a room full of strangers can be intimidating, particularly when those strangers are wearing collars, harnesses and things you aren't entirely sure you're allowed to ask about.
You are.
Collectives are a relaxed way to get to know people and get comfortable at Casa without feeling like you have to immediately throw yourself into the deep end. Come chat. Come meet people. Come people-watch. Come make friends.
And yes, you can absolutely come alone.
Learn
Every Kink Collective includes an hour of education. And this is where things get interesting. Each week is a different topic, because kink is a very big tent. One week you might be learning about a practical BDSM skill. Another week we might be talking about relationships, communication, consent, dynamics, negotiation or some wonderfully niche corner of kink that you didn't even know existed.
Some topics are hands-on and practical. Some are thought-provoking. Some will have you going, “Ohhh. So THAT'S what that's called.” And you don't need to be experienced to take part. You don't need to already know the terminology. You don't need to have tried the thing we're talking about.
You just need to be curious.

Play
And then there's the play bit. Depending on the particular Collective, there may be opportunities to play, practise something you've learned, watch other people play, or simply hang out and enjoy the dungeon atmosphere.
But here's something we really want to make clear:
You don't have to play.
Seriously. You don't need to arrive with a play partner.
You don't need to find someone.
You don't need to demonstrate your skills.
You don't need to prove that you're kinky enough.
You can spend the entire evening talking, learning and watching. That's still a perfectly good night at Casa.
Is it a play party?
Not exactly. Our play parties are primarily about play.
A Collective is more of a mixture, community, education and play, all rolled into one. It's also a great way to experience Casa if you've been curious about us but aren't quite ready to walk into a full play party. You can come and get a feel for the space. Meet some people. Learn something. Ask questions. Figure out where the bathrooms are. Work out what the hell a munch actually is. And perhaps discover that you're considerably more interested in floggers than you previously thought.
Who is it for?
Pretty much anyone with an interest in kink.
If you're experienced, come and share the space with us.
If you're brand new, come and learn.
If you're somewhere in the middle and still figuring out exactly what your particular flavour of kinky is, you're very much welcome.
You might be exploring BDSM for the first time.
You might be curious about a particular kink.
You might be exploring your relationships or your identity.
Or you might simply have reached the point of thinking: “Right. I've been Googling this stuff for six months. Maybe I should actually meet some people.”
We think that's a pretty good reason to come along.

And what about safety?
Kink is supposed to be fun. It is also supposed to be consensual, respectful and safe. Our Collective nights operate within Casa Kink's usual consent and safety framework, with our crew around to help if you need them.
You can ask questions.
You can say no.
You can change your mind.
You can decide not to participate.
You can leave a conversation or a situation that doesn't feel right.
And you can always speak to our crew if you need help.
Nobody expects you to know everything when you walk through the door.
So... what actually is a Kink Collective?
Honestly?
It's a Thursday night at Casa.
It's somewhere to meet people.
It's somewhere to learn.
It's somewhere to explore.
It's somewhere to have a chat, watch something interesting, discover a new kink, ask the question you've been too embarrassed to ask elsewhere, or maybe get your hands on something you haven't played with before.
You might come for the education and stay for the socialising.
You might come to meet people and accidentally learn something.
You might come to learn and end up playing.
Or you might do absolutely none of those things and just have a really good evening.
That's the point.
There's no single right way to do a Kink Collective.
Come curious.
Come alone.
Come with friends.
Come knowing exactly what you're looking for, or absolutely no idea.
Socialise. Learn. Play.
We'll see you Thursday.
