Kink Collective: Social, Learning and Exploration
Kink Collective is a regular Thursday evening at Casa Kink that brings together the three things that make Casa what it is: people, learning and exploration. It’s a relaxed night where you can come and meet people, grab a cuppa and a chat, take part in an interesting workshop or discussion, and, if the mood and connections are right, perhaps explore a little play.
There’s no single way to do Kink Collective. You can get involved as much or as little as you like.

Social
First and foremost, Kink Collective is a great night for meeting people. Whether you’re new to Casa, new to kink, or have been around for years, it’s an opportunity to sit down, chat, catch up with familiar faces and make some new connections.
There’s no need to arrive with a partner or a plan. You can come on your own, come with friends, or come with someone you’re already seeing. It’s a social environment where conversations and connections can develop naturally. For newer folk, it can also be a much easier way to get to know people at Casa than walking into one of our bigger events for the first time.

Community Education
Each Kink Collective includes around an hour of education, with a workshop or discussion covering a different kink or kink-aligned topic.
The sessions are part of our Community Education programme, which means they are run by volunteer educators from the broader kink community rather than being formal classes necessarily delivered by Casa staff.
The subjects can be incredibly varied. We might explore a particular kink or skill, talk about relationships and dynamics, look at consent and communication, discuss navigating the scene, or simply spend an hour unpacking an interesting question together.
Some sessions are practical and hands-on. Others are discussion based. Some are aimed at people who are just starting out, while others will appeal to those who have been exploring kink for years.
The idea is simple: we learn from each other.

And sometimes, play
Once the education section finishes, the evening can sometimes shift into play.
Sometimes that’s people who arrived with a partner and had already planned to play together. Sometimes people meet someone during the evening and, after getting to know each other and negotiating what they’re interested in, decide to explore together. And sometimes nobody plays at all.
That’s because Kink Collective is not a play party, and nobody is expected to play.
Just as importantly, nobody should arrive expecting that someone else will want to play with them. Being friendly, having a conversation or discovering that you share an interest in something is not an invitation to play.
If play happens, it happens because everyone involved wants it to happen.
You’re equally welcome to spend the whole evening chatting, watching, learning and getting to know people.
Come as you are
Kink Collective is deliberately low pressure. Come to meet people. Come because the education topic interests you. Come to catch up with your Casa folk. Come because you’re curious about the scene and want to get a feel for things.
You can stay for the whole evening or just spend some time with us. You can talk. You can learn. You can explore. And if the evening happens to lead somewhere more playful, that’s great too.
