Snack Suggestions


At most of our events we encourage folk to being some snacks to share. This helps to keep energy for play high and often creates a focal point for gathering and socialising. We are frequently asked for suggestions on what folk can bring. At the highest level, focus on snacks that are:

  • Easy to transport

  • Require little or no preparation

  • Not messy on hands

  • Can survive being left out for a few hours

  • Relatively affordable in South Africa

  • Provide energy without being too heavy


Savoury Grab-and-Go

  • Salted peanuts, Dry roasted peanuts, Mixed nuts, Cashews

  • Trail mix

  • Raisins and peanuts mix

  • Wasabi peas (no oral afterwards!)
