As the Cape Town winter settles in, Casa Kink continues to be anything but quiet. June is packed with workshops, jams, social spaces, creative exploration, and opportunities to learn, connect, and play.
Before we dive into the calendar, we'd like to take a moment to celebrate the incredible response to our new Curious Collective initiative. The goal was simple: create a welcoming pathway for newcomers to the community, helping them navigate their first events, ask questions, and find their feet in a supportive environment.
The response has exceeded our expectations. We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, experience, and energy to help make newcomers feel welcome. Whether you offered guidance, shared knowledge, answered questions, demonstrated skills, or simply took the time to introduce yourself to someone new, you've helped strengthen the culture that makes this community special.
Community isn't built by venues or organisers alone, it is built by people showing up for one another. Thank you for being part of that.
This Month's Highlights
Talking About the Hard Stuff
This month's Non-Monogamous Collective tackles one of the most important skills in any relationship structure: having difficult conversations. Whether it's discussing boundaries, unmet needs, jealousy, expectations, or relationship changes, these conversations can feel intimidating. We'll explore practical approaches to communicating honestly while maintaining connection and respect.
Staying Safer in the Scene
Our June Kink Collective workshop focuses on keeping safer in the scene. From vetting people, parties, and play spaces to practical safety planning, communication skills, and recognising red flags, this session is designed to help both newcomers and experienced community members navigate the scene with greater confidence.

Yee-Haw! The Ho Down Arrives
Dust off your boots, grab your hats, and prepare for a little country-flavoured mischief. Ho Down Dirty promises a playful evening where western aesthetics meet kinky creativity. Expect denim, leather, rope, boots, and plenty of opportunities to embrace your inner outlaw.
Skill Building and Practice Spaces
Our regular community jams continue throughout June:
Rope Jams for those wanting to practice, learn, share techniques, and connect with fellow rope enthusiasts.
Sharps Jams providing a dedicated space for education, discussion, and supervised exploration of sharps play.
Impact Jam this month focuses on slappers and belts, exploring technique, safety considerations, sensation, and creative ways to incorporate these versatile tools into your play.
Open Dungeon Days
Dungeon Days continue throughout the month, offering welcoming opportunities to socialise, observe, practice skills, meet community members, and enjoy the space in a relaxed daytime environment. Whether you're brand new or a familiar face, Dungeon Days remain one of the best ways to connect with the community.
Exploring Pleasure and Play
June's Kink Collective series includes some fascinating educational deep-dives:
An Exploration of Squirting - A practical and educational look at anatomy, pleasure, myths, realities, and techniques surrounding squirting.
Orgasm Control - Exploring the psychology, physiology, training, power exchange, and communication involved in orgasm control and orgasm-focused play.
Chemical Play - An introduction to one of the more unusual forms of sensation play, examining techniques, safety considerations, risk awareness, and creative applications.
Looking Ahead
Whether you're seeking education, connection, creativity, community, or simply a warm space to spend a winter afternoon, there's something happening every week this month.
We look forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones, and continuing to build a collective grounded in curiosity, consent, learning, and connection.
See you in the dungeon.
