Introducing the Non-Monogamous Collective: A New Monthly Gathering for Cape Town’s Open Relationship Community

Cape Town is home to a growing community of people exploring consensual non-monogamy—whether that’s polyamory, open relationships, relationship anarchy, swinging or other consensual forms of connection. But for many, finding spaces to gather, learn, and connect with others on similar paths can still be surprisingly difficult.

Casa Kink is launching our Non-Monogamous Collective—a new monthly gathering for open-hearted conversation, peer learning, and building connection.

Our first event is taking place on Wednesday 18 June Doors open at 6.30pm. We’re kicking off with a relaxed roundtable conversation that invites everyone—whether you're new, curious, or long-time poly—to share the things they wish they’d known when they first started exploring non-monogamy.

This format is perfect for a first night:

  • It offers a low-pressure way to connect with others.

  • You’ll hear real stories and reflections, not just theory.

  • It creates common ground between people with different lived experience.

  • You’re welcome to share, listen, or just observe—whatever feels right for you.

The goal is to create a consistent, affirming, and informed space where the community can gather regularly—not just to meet socially, but to learn, reflect, grow and even play together. We’re building this space on the values of:

  • Open communication

  • Mutual respect

  • Clear boundaries and consent

  • Inclusivity and identity-affirming practice

  • Learning from lived experience, not just books

While many swinging spaces operate on a more assumed or implied consent model—where touch and flirtation can happen without explicit negotiation—this can leave some people feeling uncomfortable or unsafe. At the Non-Monogamous Collective, we follow PRICK consent: Personal Responsibility, Informed, Consensual, and Kink-aware. This means clear, enthusiastic consent is required for all forms of interaction—whether it's conversation, flirtation, touch, or play. You can relax knowing that groping, pressure, or assumption have no place here, and that your boundaries will be respected. It’s about creating a space where connection feels genuinely safe, intentional, and mutual.

If you’ve been looking for a space where you don’t have to explain the basics or defend your lifestyle, this is for you. Whether you’re navigating multiple connections, dating while open, building a polycule, or still figuring it all out—come be part of a community that gets it.

Let’s start at the beginning—together. What confused you at first? What surprised you? What helped you feel seen?Come share your story, listen to others, and connect with like-minded folks in a space built on curiosity and care.

We’re looking forward to building something honest, expansive, and beautifully human—with you. Info and tickets
