Celebrating 9 Years of Casa Kink & 2 Years at the Dungeon

Around nine years ago, Casa Kink threw our first kinky party at our home. The first event had just 40 people, who were curious about the new space to play. Casa began as a gathering place for a handful of curious, brave, and playful souls. Nearly a decade, and we’ve grown into a thriving collective that has hosted over 400 events, from the deeply educational to the fabulously social and all the play inbetween. (Yes, that means we’ve spent a lot of weekends together, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.)

About half of those events have been all about learning, connecting, and sharing skills. Our Kink-, Open House-, Creative- and Non-Monogamous Collectives; Movie Days;  Rope Jams; and High Tea gatherings have given space for both serious conversations and delightfully silly moments. Because here at Casa Kink, knowledge and play tend to go hand in hand.

And oh, the highlights! We’ve had MsRiot’s unforgettable performances and the stunning artistry of Calico and York. We’ve sparkled through Queer Prom, and danced as if in the dust at Post FOMO. Each one of these moments has stitched itself into the fabric of Casa Kink’s story, sometimes sequined, sometimes sweaty, always unforgettable.

Two years ago, the Dungeon joined the party, and things really kicked off. What started as 2–3 events a month has exploded into more than 15 events every month. That’s a lot of floggers, a lot of laughter, and probably enough rope to wrap around Table Mountain twice.

The Dungeon itself has been transformed by the incredible energy of our crew. Sommernetek has worked their magic on the lighting (because ambiance matters when you’re having your butt spanked), and Profine’s draping has turned hard edges into soft embrace while Beast's sound and lighting contributions have raised the party vibe. It’s a space that feels alive because of the people who pour themselves into it—and the people who come to play, learn, and belong.

From the Dungeon opening night, when it was just Nita and Pappa holding the fort, we’ve grown into a well-oiled, wonderfully chaotic team. These days, the Dungeon hums with the energy of our Door Whores welcoming you in, Tour Whores showing new faces around, Consent Monitors keeping everyone safe, and an Events Crew who make the magic happen behind the scenes. And now, with a dedicated manager at the helm, Casa has stepped into a whole new level of organization. He’s the one who keeps the chaos coordinated, the space running smoothly, whilst also working with the whole team on what Casa Kink does best: safety, people and play. His presence has not only lightened the load but also raised the bar for what we can achieve together.

As we celebrate 9 years of Casa Kink and 2 years of our Dungeon, we’re reminded of what makes this collective so special: respect, consent, creativity, and a whole lot of heart. And if the past nine years are anything to go by, the best is still to come.
