At Casa Kink, consent is the foundation of our community and culture. We strive to create a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to express themselves authentically. To achieve this, we uphold strict consent guidelines and have a clear policy for addressing consent violations. Our policy is simple in order to ensure that we have consistency of approach, even if the reported person is one of our team.

The Essentials of Consent

• Personal Responsibility: Every individual is accountable for understanding and respecting boundaries, seeking clear consent, and communicating openly about their own.

• Informed and Enthusiastic: All activities must involve a mutual, informed agreement. Silence or lack of resistance does not equal consent.

• Ongoing: Consent can be revoked at any time.

• Specific: Consent for one activity or with one person does not imply consent for others.

Reporting a Violation

We take all reports of consent violations seriously. If you experience or witness a breach of consent, please approach a Consent Monitor or a Casa Kink organizer. Casa Kink’s Role in Handling Reports

Casa Kink does not investigate or make judgments on the validity of allegations. This is the role of law enforcement and the justice system. We believe survivors and are committed to maintaining the safety and trust within our community.

Responses to Consent Violations

Based on the nature and severity of the reported incident, our responses include:

1. Education and ConversationsFor minor misunderstandings or boundary-crossings, the individual may meet with a Consent Monitor to discuss ways to improve their understanding and practice of consent.

2. Observation (Watch List)In cases of moderate concern, the individual may be placed on a "watch list." They will be allowed to continue attending Casa Kink events, but Consent Monitors will be aware of their history and will actively monitor their interactions.

3. BanningSevere or repeat violations will result in a ban from Casa Kink. However, individuals who are banned may still be eligible to attend specific training sessions, including consent education, to work on repairing trust and understanding.
