About the event
Step into a vital community role at Casa Kink. This 2–2½ hour training is designed for those who want to help uphold our culture of consent, safety, and inclusion. We’ll cover the role of a Consent Monitor, how to read body language, de-escalate situations, support people in distress, and handle consent concerns with calm clarity. Through discussion and sharing of real world experiences , you’ll gain the confidence to observe, intervene when needed, and report appropriately. This training is ideal for prospective Consent Monitors or anyone interested in deepening their consent skills within kink-positive spaces.
In this interactive session, you’ll learn how to:
Spot and respond to unsafe or non-consensual play
De-escalate conflict and support people in distress
Intervene gently and confidently when needed
Handle consent violations with care and professionalism
