Workshop Details: This Aftercare workshop begins by exploring why aftercare matters, looking at the physical, emotional and psychological impacts of kink and BDSM play. We’ll unpack concepts such as adrenaline drop, sub- and top-drop, nervous system regulation, and why even scenes that felt “light” or casual can leave people vulnerable afterwards. From there, the workshop moves into what aftercare can look like in practice, challenging the idea that it’s one-size-fits-all. We’ll discuss a wide range of aftercare options, from touch and comfort to space, communication, practical support, and longer-term check-ins, with an emphasis on consent, negotiation, and self-awareness.
